Independent and self sufficient rap artist Ditch has definitely found the 25th hour in the day, performing so far in 2011 alone, opening for Kurupt, Suga Free, Yelawolf and a special tribute to the USMC at his Highlands show in Hollywood, CA. Now Ditch has announced his first magazine cover on Hollywood Music Magazine. The online magazine chose Ditch for the cover because of his perseverance, drive and determination as an artist despite not being on a major label. Ditch’s cover issue (February 2011) was announced in January (2011) at the annual NAMM music convention via promotional fliers and a special appearance by Ditch. The promotion has paid off with the story receiving thousands of views in its first week online (February 1st- February 8th 2011), far surpassing articles about the annual Mayhem Festival, Korn, Hollywood Undead and others on the site. Ditch says; “its very exciting to see the article go viral like this…I mean it has had over 1,000 Facebook ‘likes’ in its first week, so that shows that people are feeling the realness of the article and that they are supporting what I do… I have worked so hard to be at this point in my career so it feels very good to get this kind of recognition…to hold up higher than those major artists means people are finally catching on to what I am doing”.
