Ditch performs hot set at Playground Festival 2011

Ditch performed a powerful set and got the crowd moving in a no holds barred performance onstage at the 2011 Playground Festival in Irvine, Ca. Ditch stormed to the stage with his own resident Dj; Dj Noize and performed new music from his upcoming CD “02BNLA” which will hit in 2012. The concert featured performances by; Ditch, Mickey Avalon, Shiny Toy Guns, Street Drum Corps, Cisco Adler, The Cataracts and more. The event was hosted by Nick Cannon who had a large entourage in attendance with him. Pete Wentz and Ashley Simpson were also in attendance. The event was set to host performances by; Lil Jon, The Game, and Too Short, who all three were mission in action at the event. After The Cataracts performance it was announced that The Game would not be performing and fans began to riot, throwing full water bottles and anything else they could find at the people onstage. The crowd was dispersed and the incident simmered. There has still been no word from Playground Festival organizers as to why the 3 biggest hip hop acts on the bill did not show up to perform, despite months of lengthy promotion for all the artists on the bill. Ditch has had a busy Summer; performing on Playground Festival (opening for Game, Lil Jon, E40, Too Short, Yg, Big Sean, New Boyz, The Cataracts, Panic At The Disco and more), the Intch Festival, being the sole opener for Ice T and Coco in Texas, and co headlining the Sacramento Hempfest (opening for Warren G and Flesh N Bone). Now Ditch will kick off Fall 2011 opening for Suga Free at Malone’s in Santa Ana, California. Ditch opened for Suga Free at the The Vibe in Riverside back in January of 2011. Now Ditch will once again open for the legendary Pomona, California rapper Suga Free. Ditch has recorded with; Shock G, Eek-A-Mouse, Hot Dollar, Cashis, Bishop Don Magic Juan, and Chali 2na in his 12 year career as an artist. Born Dejuan Rice (born January 17, 1970), Suga Free, is an American rapper from Pomona, California. He is considered a regional artist, whose fanbase primarily resides in Southern California, but his fanbase there is intensely loyal. Within his fanbase, he is well-known for his unorthodox flow - he can rap at incredible speeds with wild variations in meter - his highly syncopated and staccato delivery, and his unashamed self-presentation as an authentic and flamboyant street pimp. Suga Free was born in Oakland and raised in Compton, later becoming based in Pomona, California. He is somewhat unusual among rappers who claim to “pimp” in that he actually was (and possibly still is) an actual pimp, having made his living from managing street prostitutes before. He has stated that his rapping is actually secondary to his pimping career, though this may have changed somewhat in recent years. He began his professional rapping career working with DJ Quik, with Quik serving as the producer on his debut album, Street Gospel, released in 1997, which reached number 27 on the Billboard R&B albums chart. Treehouse Co-op has sponsored Ditch’s performance at the 2011 INTCHE festival. Ditch will re unite with one time recording and touring friend Kriminal onstage at the 2011 Ditch’s Summer Fest event Tomorrow night in Dana Point, Ca. Ditch and Kriminal recorded the songs “Ridin” and “If I Was Ballin” in late 2005 together, premiering them both at Kokomo’s in Lake Havasu, Arizona in May 2006. The 2 did a series of live shows together opening for such acts as Too Short and Bubba Sparxxx, before parting ways in Winter of 2006. This will be the first time that the 2 have performed onstage together since then and will most likely be the last time for another long time. Ditch performs powerful set in El Paso, Texas with Ice T

Ditch has just returned home from El Paso, Texas where he opened for the legendary rapper Ice T. The event took place at the Red Parrot in which owner of 17 years Darrius was also honored. The event was the annual Players Toast Awards, which is now being re titled the Toast. A sandstorm mixed with lightning, and strong winds almost threatened to shut down the outdoor concert, but it quickly dissipated. Ditch hit the stage around 11:30pm with a flurry of new music, high energy and a new pimp glass covered in expensive bling. Ditch performed; “Get Em Up”, “Stuntin In My Car”, “Give A Toast” and “Burn and Burn” before giving us a taste of his new song “Moet And Diamond Rings” written for his girlfriend Shalon. Shalon was also a part of Ditch’s set, as they both popped bottles of Moet champagne and threw out Ditch cards to the audience. Ditch thanked El Paso at the shows end and vowed to come back and perform again there. Ice T took the stage next performing an hour and half long set which featured: “Midnight”, “Colors”, “High Rollers”, “New Jack Hustler” and more. Ice T’s famous wife Coco was also in attendance, causing frenzy among fans who wanted a picture with the famous model. Ditch opens for Kurupt at Club D.N.A

Ditch has already had a busy start to 2011 with performances with Suga Free and a show set for February 3rd with Yelawolf. Last night (1-16-11) Ditch opened for Kurupt from Dogg Pound, 40 Glocc and Roscoe taking the stage just before Kurupt at Club D.N.A in San Gabriel,CA. Ditch had previously opened for Kurupt in 2009 at Sutra in Newport Beach,CA and Cohiba in Long Beach,CA. Ditch will perform this Wednesday 1-19-11 at Highlands in Hollywood,CA for David Harrison Levi's red carpet birthday bash. This event will also raise awareness for cancer and is free to attend. Ditch to release “Self Made. Self Paid” mixtape 1-11-11

Ditch will release his 3rd mixtape on January 11, 2011. It has been a year since Ditch has released any new music, focusing instead on taking his new songs and performing them live. Ditch released the “Clout” mixtape in October 2009 and the “Never Gonna Stop” mixtape in January 2009 for free via his website (www.lethaltendermusic.com) and at select shows. The new mixtape aptly entitled “Self Made, Self Paid” will feature original beats and lyrics veering from the typical mixtapes that are samples of other peoples beats. Ditch says of the new release: “I wanted to do something different with my new mixtape… we have been working on “O2BNLA” my new full length album since Summer 2010 and we just feel that some of the material is better on a mixtape…I wanted to release these songs before they weren’t relevant to whats going on today in music…Also I wanted to release this music and not have to wait until the release of “O2BNLA” so some songs will be on the album in 2011 and some will just make this (“Self Made, Self Paid”) mixtape. Ditch will perform his first live show of the new year Saturday Jan 1 , 2011 at Entourage nightclub in Brea, CA. The show will feature a new live set from Ditch who just wrapped up 2010 with a large amount of live performances. Ditch also spent 2010 doing several breast cancer awareness shows with philanthropist David Harrison Levi.
